WWII Weapons of Living History / Re-enacting
26th Yankee Division
1. The M1 Garand, Primary Rifle of the United States Infantryman. * This rifle is a required part of a G.I. Re-enactor / Living Historian's Kit. All Enlisted Personnel.
2. The BAR, Browning Automatic Rifle, Used to lay down surpressing fire for menuvering Infantry Squads.
3. The M1 Thompson Submachinegun "Tommy Gun", Used to lay down surpressing fire for menuvering Infantry Squads.Most often used by NCO's or Officers.
4. The M1 Carbine, created to replace the pistol or sidearm, often used by support personnel and/or officers.
5. The M1911A1 .45 Cal Pistol, Used by support personnel and/or Officers. ( or by anyone that could get their "HANDS ON ONE")
6. The M3A1 Grease Gun, a .45 caliber machinegun designed to replace the Tommy Gun.
7. The M1919A4 Browning .30 Caliber Machine gun, Used for support for a squad, platoon, in a vehicle. Used against other equipment, I.E. Aircraft, vehicles, Armore Etc...
